Brooke Bentley
ABOUT BROOKE
Brooke Bentley is a former television anchor and award-winning sports journalist who now devotes her time to writing, working with a grassroots nonprofit, and raising two young boys in her hometown of Houston.

Brooke's bestselling debut novel Sideline Confidential was released in August 2023. Through Sideline Confidential, she gives us a glimpse into the challenges women professionals face in the male-dominated world of pro sports.
Brooke’s essay "It’s Time to Make Children's Mental Health a Priority" was awarded Honorable Mention in the 2022 Nonfiction Essay/Article category of the 91st Annual Writer's Digest Writing Competition. Her piece "The Pressure to Have It All" was featured in Mother.com.
After graduating with a Masters in Journalism from the University of Southern California, Brooke launched her career as a media personality with the Houston Texans in 2007. She hosted Texans TV, traveled with the team to cover games and offseason events, and authored stories for the team’s official website.
Brooke went on to join Yahoo! Sports Radio and Houston’s KUBE-TV as a sideline reporter a co-anchor of the SportsZone. Over the ensuing decade, she contributed to various Texas media outlets, including Fox Sports Southwest and Comcast Sports.

Most recently, Brooke has worked as the Development Director at the grassroots nonprofit Homemade Hope, an organization that provides culinary enrichment and life skills programs to underserved youth. She now serves on the Board of Directors as a dedicated volunteer.
Brooke graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Davidson College where she was a four-year starter and captain of the volleyball team. She is married to her best friend who encourages her as they traverse the steepest of terrain— literally and figuratively, as they both love hiking in Colorado.
